Sarbacane,
1988 Corbin 39, Hull #192
Sarbacane is equipped for long range cruising with comfort, safety, and economy in a well kept package. With a cruising speed of 7.5 knots, with engine running and more in sailing, Sarbacane consumes 1 gallons of fuel per hour. She carries 130 US gallons of fuel, 200 US gallons of water and 2 holding tanks of 30 US gallons each. Hull is fiberglass sandwich construction using closed-cell PVC foam core (Airex). Closed-cell PVC foam does not deteriorate or absorb water. Fiberglass schedule uses heavy hand lay-up mat and roving. The composite structure serves both as a buoyancy material and shock, sound and temperature insulator. It rides quiet, increases impact strength and eliminates condensation build-up inside the hull. Decks are fiberglass sandwich construction. Exemple: hull under water, hull with Airex, deck.
With a constant and a miticulous maintenance, its owner since 1988, was able to keep Sarbacane in very good shape.
Sarbacane is located in Baie-Comeau, Quebec, Canada.
